Tatsuru Ichishima-san (founder of Spoon) was one of the 4 drivers piloting the Spoon Civic Type-R FD2. Other noteworthy drivers was Kazunori Yamauchi President of Polyphony Digital Inc. and creator of Playstation's Gran Tourismo game, Japanese famed driver Naoki Hattori, and Gabrielle Dela Merced of the Philippines
